Summary

In the summer of 2011 a group of young activists set out to #Occupy Wall Street. Using social media and self-organization, an action became a movement. Within a matter of weeks there were over one thousand occupations across the globe. People were rising up against a corrupt political and economic elite and calling for real democracy.
