Big Boned follows the life of a giant woman in the big city. It’s a series of scenes that highlight the difficulties an extra, extra tall person might have to overcome in a place like New York. Though the film does touch on issues of accessibility and tolerance, the story was conceived as an exploration of how difficult it is to feel like you’re too big, or too much, especially in a city that feels hostile towards your very presence.
