Summary
everyone gets to be friends is short-form anthology of four loosely related vignettes that touches on shame, envy, and self-sabotage. The film focuses on key moments in four impulsive characters’ lives: a demolition worker with contradicting instincts, a drunken millennial at a hotel bar, a sharp-tongued niece at Thanksgiving dinner, and a lonesome man wandering through a fireworks performance. With the opportunity of happiness at their fingertips, they throw it away for something even more out of reach.
