Summary

San, a transgender singer, and Nam, an underground boxer, struggle to save money for San’s gender-affirming surgery in 1990s Sai Gon. San works as an escort, while Nam fights in brutal dog-cage matches. When San is denied surgery due to her mental health history, their relationship fractures. Nam seeks solace with a prostitute, Mimi, who becomes pregnant. San, initially furious, eventually accepts Mimi.
