Summary
Examines the effect upon the Highlands of Scotland of Thomas Telford, builder of the Caledonian canal and of Sir Walter Scott. In the course of an autumn journey through the present day canal from Inverness to Fort William, actors impersonating Telford and Scott discuss the two men's differing attitudes.
