Biography

Filmmaker, with studies at Universidad Arcis and at the School of San Antonio de los Baños in Cuba. His first feature film is "El Pejesapo" (2007), which becomes a true milestone of Chilean independent cinema, being exhibited at the Locarno Film Festival. His work is characterized by a marked militancy for the resistance and social cinema, approaching topics such as poverty, marginality and the lack of opportunities given in the class differences. Together with Carolina Adriazola she co-directs "Mythomaniac" (2009), "Chronicle of a Committee" (2014), Il Siciliano (2017) and Harley Queen (2019). He is co-founder of the Festival of Social and Antisocial Film FECISO.
