Biography

A graduate of INIS and the Université du Québec à Montréal, Olivier D. Asselin creates works rooted in sociopolitical reality, both in fiction and documentary. His vision is embodied in short, medium or feature films as well as in web series, which he can, depending on the case, produce, direct, film and/or edit himself. Several of his films have won awards at multiple local and international festivals. He also teaches cinema and is involved in several filmmakers’ organizations.
