Rémi Fréchette is a director, screenwriter and editor who specializes in fiction, more specifically in genre cinema. He graduated from Concordia University with a degree in film production, and has also been involved in the Kino movement, making dozens of short films over the past fifteen years. His most notable projects, which have traveled the world, are Les Jaunes (webseries and feature film - 2013), L'étrange province (webseries - 2015), Montréal Dead End (feature film - 2018) and Première vague (feature film - 2021), which was released theatrically. He is also very active at festivals with his short films, such as A Night of Sweats, which has played over 25 times in Quebec and continues to be screened, or his short Family Feast from the feature Deathcember, an international anthology of horror films alongside cult directors. Alongside his projects, he divides his time between directing and editing for web and TV. He was director of Fantastiques week-ends, the Quebec section of the Fantasia festival, for 7 years, as well as co-host of the Point de vues podcast for 8 years (214 episodes) until 2020.
