Biography

Igor Guayasamin is an Ecuadorian filmmaker, anthropologist, musician and constructor of architectural spaces. He has a Master in Anthropology (FLACSO, 2010), a Bachelor of Journalism and Audiovisual Communication (SEK University, 2005) and studies in Filmmaking at CUEC-UNAM Mexico – 1980. Since the 70's he has made more than thirty films within the anthropological documentary. His work addresses issues related to social movements and the cultural identity of indigenous peoples.
