Biography

An actor, writer, director and producer, whose notable achievements include winning the Jury’s Choice Award and the DEAI Award for Diversity, Equity, Accessibility and Inclusion at the 42nd Annual Thomas Edison Film Festival for her directorial debut “Chicken” which she was nominated for a Leo Award for Screenwriting and another for Female Performance. “Chicken” has screened internationally in Canada, the United States, Australia and Europe at both Oscar and BAFTA Qualifying Festivals and has gained attention from nationally recognized non-profits including the Down Syndrome Resource Foundation and the Canadian Down Syndrome Society. It has been featured on 3.21: Canada’s Down Syndrome Magazine, The LowDOWN: A Down Syndrome Podcast, Burnaby NOW, as well as AMI’s Season 2 of DisRUPT. Lucy runs Strange Company Productions and is the President of Wet Ink Collective - a writer-driven initiative for women to write, develop and produce stories for stage and screen.
