Biography

Christian Zakharchuk is a filmmaker originating from Vancouver Island, Sooke BC. Often expressing themselves through analog technology and unconventional ways of storytelling. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Capilano University through the Motion Picture Arts Program starting in 2020 till 2024. Most known for his late high school feature, GIRLZ NIGHT, gaining a minuscule, but faithful cult following. DARKMAN, shot entirely on Super 8, has screened in Serbia ( KINOSKOP 5- ANALOG EXPERIMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL), and Paris, France (Giallo International Film Festival) respectively. His thesis production, WAR TIMES, distributed by the Winnipeg Film Group, has been developed and scanned in collaboration with Cineworks, and mentored under indie Canadian filmmaker, Carl Bessai.
