Biography

Big Dan (born 12 April, 2005) is an English Director, Writer, Editor and Cinematographer. He is best known for his debut short film, Moth (2023), that he has written, directed and stars in. He is also known for co-directing the documentary films Benji Cooper: The Origin That Never Was (2021) alongside co-director Abbi Ferguson, as well as directing Benji Cooper: The Origin That Always Was (2022). He also worked as the Camera Operator for Older (2023). He is also one of the founding members of Filmheads Productions, and has his own production company, Big Dan Film. He will also star in Cocoon: A Moth prequel, releasing 2025, which he also wrote and will be directing. He has also worked in a collaboration with Tyne & Wear productions alongside director Matthew Smith, directing crime-horror.
