Biography
Arswendy Beningswara Nasution (born on November 22, 1957) is an Indonesian actor, acting coach, and director of Mandailing descent. He studied Performing Arts at the Jakarta Institute of the Arts (IKJ) from 1978 to 1982. His career began in theater, joining Teater Mandiri, led by Putu Wijaya. His film debut was Opera Jakarta in 1985. In addition to acting, Arswendy is also known as an acting coach for various films, such as Denias, Senandung Di Atas Awan and Merah Putih. Some of his most notable films include Satan’s Slaves (2017) as Ustad, Two Blue Stripes (2019) as Rudy, and Missing Home (2022) as Pak Domu. His role in Autobiography (2022) earned him the Best Actor award at the Marrakech International Film Festival. In his personal life, Arswendy is the father of Eno Bening, a well-known Indonesian YouTuber. With over three decades of experience, Arswendy Beningswara Nasution continues to make significant contributions to the Indonesian film and theater industry.
