A Los Angeles native, Marc Winnick was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He has been acting and performing professionally his whole life, growing up the son of a successful comedian and television writer, Jerry Winnick (with over 275 writing credits). During his early childhood, Marc and his twin brother performed in several commercials, including Chiquita Banana and Double Mint Gum. Marc studied at Van Nuys Performing Arts High School and UCLA, where he honed his impeccable comic timing while writing and performing in sketches, plays, musicals, one-acts, and short films. He took part in and won several awards at theater competitions for Shakespeare, Improv, and ketch comedy. After college, Marc briefly explored the professional world but sorely missed the arts, entertainment, and making people laugh. Returning to acting and following his passion for comedy and storytelling, Marc studied with Lesly Kahn & Co, UCB Improv, John Rosenfeld Studios, and many, many others. He did comedy at open mics and performed with several Improv troupes all over Hollywood's Indie Improv scene. While working regularly on many short films and web series, Marc soon landed his first lead role in a feature film, the sci-fi creature feature, Shadow Puppets (with James Marsters, Jolene Blalock, and Tony Todd). This led to other roles in feature films, such as Guns, Girls and Gambling (with Gary Oldman, Christian Slater, and Dane Cooks) and Code of Honor (with Steven Seagal). In his downtime, Marc loves writing, playing and watching sports (especially baseball, he is a die-hard Dodger fan), pop culture trivia, and is a huge fanboy (he loves anything sci-fi/fantasy, especially Star Wars, Marvel, and DC).
